Technician Recommendation window

Refer to Adding recommendations for instructions on completing this window.

  1. Condition codes – the selected code is shown.

The following recommendation fields appear only if the condition code is or :

  1. 'Select services from the list...' – select from a pre-defined drop-down list of services (Alternatively use to add recommendations as described below.)
  2. “x” – click to close the window without saving.
    • If one or more of the condition code, tire or brake measurements (if applicable) or comments were updated, a confirmation message appears asking if the data should be saved.
    • If a recommendation was added or deleted, or the "Parts Request" button selection changed, or an image added or deleted, this data is always kept when the window is closed whether saved or not.
  3. Recommendation - free-text boxes to add service recommendations. Enter the following information if known:
    • OP Code – dealer labor operation code.
    • Hours – labor hours in tenths of an hour.
    • Labor Sale – in dollars.
    • Part Sale – parts price.
    • Price – total price of the recommended service.
  4. icon – adds free-text recommendations as entered by the Technician.
  5. “Parts Required” – appears when a service has been selected. Click to send the recommendation to the Parts Department after the Technician selects “Mark Completed”.
  6. "Camera" icon - (if enabled) opens Inspection Cam for adding images to the inspection line. Refer to Using Inspection Cam for more information.
  7. QR code for Visual MPI - (if enabled) opens Visual MPI for adding videos or images to the inspection line. Refer to Using Visual MPI for more information.

 

At the bottom of the window:

  1. Internal Comments – comments entered here by the Technician will not be visible to the customer. They are view-only for Service Advisors and Parts Department users.
  2. Customer Comments – Technician comments entered here will be visible to the customer and appear with the recommendation description in the inspection report.
  3. "Save" - closes the window and keeps all updates made. This does not commit the data to the inspection. The data must still be saved on the Inspection page.
